Anonymous asked: what books about norse mythology and viking daily life and culture would you recommend? thank you
“The Penguin Book of Norse Myths” by Kevin Crossley-Holland is a great place to start. For the raw materials themselves, you can’t go wrong with the Eddas (one poetic and one prose). As far as daily life and culture are concerned, In Search Of The Dark Ages by Michael Wood and The Vikings: Culture and Conquest by Martin Arnold are good places to start.
