I’d want them to exhibit at least a basic understanding of what the symbol means as well as some knowledge of Germanic Paganism as a whole. Lets say, an understanding of the creation myth and Ragnarok in addition to knowledge of some of the main exploits of Thor. In an ideal world, everybody who wears one would have read both of the Eddas and the Völsung Cycle etc.
