A Valley Thick With Oaks
"The old stone gods wil leap to life
among forgotten ruins, and Thor will crash down his mighty hammer on the Gothic cathedrals"

People should have to pass a test before being able to wear a Mjölnir. I find it intensely irritating and mildly offensive when they are worn merely as some kind of fashion statement, by those without the vaguest inkling of what the symbol represents.

Its utilization as a generic “heavy metal fashion statement” makes my teeth grind. Even worse are people who are aware of its meaning, and not only openly disregard it, but mock those to whom it does mean something.

If you’re going to get upset about someone misusing symbols, aren’t the white supremacists who use Norse and Germanic heathen symbolism to carry their message of hate a more worthy target for your (collective) ire?

Actually I have mentioned that very point, more than once. You just happened to see this post and not ones I had made earlier. If I had to outline all of my views on a subject in minute detail in every post I made, I’d be typing all day.
